  1. Geoffrey Booth says:

UNDER EVERY DEFENCE IS A PLACE OF OLD PAIN
Every place where we are defensive and every place where someone else is defensive, is a place of old pain. Our defence is against this old pain. The problem is that, although the defence does not always block this pain, it does always block the good things.

Yes Geoff – thank you for sharing. Sometimes we get so rapt up in our own pain that we can’t see how we project it onto others, nor how we seek their love to shield us from experiencing our feelings. The only way to heal our pain is to feel our way through it, albeit challenging and sometimes very lonely, it’s well worth the trip. J
